Mime Café is a fantastic spot for delicious food, whether you’re popping in for coffee and cake or sitting down for a proper meal. Tucked just around the corner, it’s well worth seeking out. The staff are incredibly friendly, and it’s a genuinely dog-welcoming place too. With seating both indoors and out, it’s a lovely place to relax whatever the weather.

OMG! A palace to good good with excellent staff and wonderful service. Dog friendly too!!! YUM! Everything homemade or sourced local. Super ethos You can pay forwards and people do!! Friendly Upbeat buzz from other customers! Owner is exceptionally nice just like the several many cakes we ate!!! #toptavistock

Great coffee and friendly barista. There's limited space inside but the tables are sensibly laid out and can be brought together or separated as necessary, plus there are some extra seats and tables outside when weather permits. Very helpful and welcoming staff.

Went in to ask what I could give as a gift for someone, and even with a really busy cafe, the lady owner could not have been more lovely Absolutely top notch service. Beautifully presented box and delicious cookies.

A hidden gem in the lanes of Tavistock. Many of the cafes in the centre of town were rammed. This is an oasis of calm and the food was exceptional

My husband and I ate lunch here last week. Sitting in the sun outside eating the most delicious food was such a treat. The food we had was really outstanding. As a bit of a foodie running my own catering business I find it really hard to eat out as I'm often disappointed. Not at Mime. I had the perfect wellness bowl and my hubby had the sausage roll with salad. We were having such a good time we stayed for coffee and cake! Thank you for making our trip to Tavistock so good.- Food

Very nice food and drinks, dog friendly, and nice atmosphere.
We loved this little cafe, we had the wellness bowls which were very tasty and filling. Couldn't resist one of their super cakes. Everything on display looked good and we will certainly return when back in Tavistock. Great service and friendly staff, would certainly recommend

Absolutely amazing little, dog friendly cafe tucked away from the main road. Amazing food, the bacon bagel was a delight and my husband enjoyed the cream tea - all seem to be baked in house - well worth a visit.
Just popped in for a coffee and scone. The coffee was just perfect as my wife likes an extra hot coffee, which most places cannot provide. The scones were very fresh, and warmed through perfectly It was very busy, so all the outside tables were taken, which was a shame as the sun was shining. Which you can't do as well in other places in Tavistock. Nevertheless it was still very pleasant to eat inside. Very pleased

Mel and her team recently provided a breakfast delivery to myself and bridesmaids on my wedding morning. I don’t believe it could have been done better :)

The coffee is hot and delicious (the tumeric latte especially) and the selection of cakes is great and they are amazing. The service is friendly and efficient too. Highly recommended!
